Captcha solution for the blind: A webvisum tutorial!




Webvisum is a great addon for Firefox blind users. Through webvisum, you can label objects, links, page titles, perform OCR on images, and above all, you can solve captcha without any sighted assistance on different websites.

Request an invitation


1.     Go to the www.webvisum.com.
2.     Press Insurt+F7 for the links list and hit enter on invitations.
3.     Press Insurt+F7 again and click on request an invitation.
4.     Press F to move to the first form field.
5.     Fill out the form here.
5.1   Type your name in the first edit box.
5.2   Your Email.
5.3   Your message.
5.4   Click submit comment button.
5.5   Check your Email for invitation code.

Registration


1.     Go to the www.webvisum.com.
2.     Press Insurt+F7 and click registration.
3.     Press T to go to the table.
4.     Type your user name in the 1st edit box.
5.     Your full name in the 2nd box.
6.     Your Email in next edit field.
7.     Type your password in the next edit box and then confirm it.
8.     Type invitation code in the last edit box and click create account button.

Login


1.     Press Insurt+F7.
2.     Click login/register.
3.     Press T to go to the table.
4.     Type your user name.
5.     Your password.
6.     Press enter on login button.

Install addon


1.     Press Insurt+F7 and click install addon.
2.     After few seconds, click restart button.
3.     Firefox will automatically restart and your webvisum’s installation will be completed.

How to use webvisum


1. If you encounter a captcha on  a page, press CTRL+Alt+6 or alternatively, you can press application key and hit enter on solve captcha to solve captcha. After few seconds, your captcha result will be edit to clipboard and you can simply paste it in the edit box.
2. Press CTRL+Alt+1 to label the focus object or choose label focused object from the context menu by pressing application key.
3. Press CTRL+Alt3 to label the current page title or choose it from context menu.
4. You can perform OCR on the focused image by pressing CTRL+Alt5.
5. Press CTRL+Alt6 to label last visited link.

Note: webvisum only works with Mozilla Firefox So; please install addon or login from Firefox.
