Nuance Vocalizer Expressive is a modern, natural-sounding and responsive speech synthesizer developed by Nuance Communications.inc. It speaks over 40 different languages from all over the world, and supports ninety different voices in total.
Each Nuance Vocalizer Expressive Voice comes in many variants, from "compact", which has small size and footprint, to "Premium High", which gives you the best voice quality available, with larger sizes and footprint.

Vocalizer expressive for NVDA

Vocalizer expressive voices are usually used with JAWS and IOS devices, but it is now available to use with NVDA by installing a vocalizer expressive driver.
To use these voices you have to install visual C++ redistributable packages versions 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2015 on your machine. If you are using 64bit operating system, don't forget to install both x64 and x86 versions. Most of the packages would be already installed on your device.

Install and use Vocalizer expressive

If you are running an installed copy of NVDA, you will simply locate driver after downloading, hit enter on it and follow NVDA's instructions. Alternately you can use the add-on manager. Go to the NVDA menu (press NVDA+n), then tools, and then select Manage Add-ons. Being there, press install button and select add-on package you want to install.
Don't forget to install voices for NVDA vocalizer expressive and if you are using JAWS with the same TTS, The voices you are using with JAWS, will be automatically available to use with NVDA. Otherwise, you can go to the NVDA Vocalizer official download page to download your required voices for free.
After installation is complete, you can now select Nuance Vocalizer Expressive from the synthesizers that are available to NVDA. Open the Synthesizers Settings Dialog box by pressing NVDA+ctrl+s and choose Nuance Vocalizer Expressive from the synthesizer list, press Ok button to confirm.

Enhancements in JAWS 2019


·                     For single-user perpetual licenses, JAWS, Fusion, and ZoomText 2019 now check to see if an update to your license is available when the software first starts.
·                     While browsing the internet, JAWS will no longer announce "Clickable" by default as you move to various contents.
·                     You should no longer hear the message "Press JAWS Key+ALT+R to hear descriptive text" as you navigate form controls and certain other elements on the web.
·                     Resolved a reported issue where JAWS and Word would become unresponsive when attempting to edit a long comment.
·                     By default in Word and Outlook, JAWS will no longer announce "Alt SHIFT F10 to adjust Auto Correction" when you move to something that was auto corrected previously.
·                     The AutoCorrect Detection option, previously only available in the Quick Settings for Word, can now also be changed in the Quick Settings for Outlook (INSERT+V).
·                     JAWS and Fusion will no longer gather and announce the count of all the objects, misspellings, grammatical errors, and so on when a document is opened in Word. This will enable documents to load much faster, including very large documents containing a lot of these items. You can always press INSERT+F1 for an overview of what the document contains.
·                     If the Table Display option located under the Braille group in Quick Settings is set to Current Row or Current Column, addressed a reported issue where the current row or column was not being shown on the braille display as expected while navigating tables in Java applications.
·                     Resolved translation issues with the Hungarian Liblouis braille table.

How to install JAWS2019


1.      Extract jaws 19 zip folder and run setup file j2019.exe.
1.1  If user account control warning appears, click on yes to continue.
1.2  Check license agreement checkbox and hit enter.
Note: Don't press close button at the end of installation process.
2.      Go to the JAWS19 extracted folder, open crack 64 bit/32 bit according to your setup, copy and paste the files jfw.exe and tayyab.tv to JAWS installation directory and replace the original files there.
3.      Go to crack folder again, right click on myCertificate.cer and click install certificate to start certificate import wizard.
3.1 On this screen, choose second option (local machine) and click next.
3.2 Once again Choose second option (place all certificates in following store) and click browse. A new window will appear.
3.3 Choose (trusted root certification authority) from this window and click ok, then click next to continue.
3.4 Now a summary will be appeared about your previously made selections, click finish button to complete the certificate wizard.
4. In a few seconds, a message will pop up telling you that the import was successful, click ok to close this window.
4.1 go to the JAWS setup program and click close button.
4.2 If it asks for a system restart, let it go for it.

Jaws (Job access with speech) is a Computer screen Reader Software for Microsoft Windows that allows low vision and blind persons to use Computer either through a Text-to-Speech output or through a Refreshable Braille Display. JAWS has risen to meet the challenge to allow blind and low vision computer users to use programs without standard Windows controls, and programs that were not designed for accessibility. It is part of a family of products designed for low vision and blind Computer Users such as Screen Magnification Software, Scanning and Reading Software, a PDA for the blind, Braille Display and Notetaker etc. according to a May 2012 screen reader users survey by WebAIM, (A Web accessibility company) Jaws is a most popular screen reader throughout the world; 49.1% of survey participants use it as primary screen reader, while 63.7% of participants use it often.

 

History of Jaws


 

JAWS was first released in 1989 by Ted Henter, a former motorcycle racer who lost his sight in a 1978 automobile accident. In 1985, Henter, along with an $180,000 USD investment from Bill Joyce, founded the Henter-Joyce Corporation in St. Petersburg, Florida. Joyce sold his interest in the company back to Henter sometime in 1990. In April 2000, Henter-Joyce, Blazie Engineering, and Arkenstone, Inc., merged to form Freedom Scientific. JAWS were originally created for the MS-DOS operating system. Ted Henter and Rex Skipper wrote the original JAWS code in the mid-1980s, releasing version 2.0 in mid-1990. Skipper left the company after the release of version 2.0, and following his departure, Charles Oppermann was hired to maintain and improve the product. Oppermann and Henter regularly added minor and major features and frequently released new versions. Freedom Scientific now offers JAWS for MS-DOS as a freeware, can be downloaded from their web site. In 1993, Henter-Joyce released a highly modified version of JAWS for people with learning disabilities. This product, called WordScholar, is no longer available. In 1992, as Microsoft Windows became more popular, Oppermann began work on a new version of JAWS. A principal design goal was not to interfere with the natural user interface of Windows and to continue to provide a strong macro facility. Test and beta versions of JAWS for Windows were shown at conferences throughout 1993 and 1994. During this time, developer Glen Gordon started working on the code, ultimately taking over its development when Oppermann was hired by Microsoft in November 1994. Shortly afterwards, in January 1995, JAWS for Windows 1.0 was released.
