Nimra Ahmad is a young female writer and novelist best known for her some quality books such as Musahaf, Janat ke patay, Namal and Halim etc. She has the specialty of putting emotions into her words. If she writes something romantic you would feel the crush and if she decided to write on an emotional topic your eyes will be automatically filled with tears. In this novel, Nimra Ahmad discussed the phenomenon of enforced disappearances in Pakistan rapidly aroused in last couple of years. This is a great endeavor to aware the people about the feelings/pains of the families who lost their loved ones. The story revolves around a young woman who lost her two kids along with her husband. They were coming back from a mosque and get kidnapped to never come back again.

Another character of story was a boy who was very suspicious about that woman that why she behaves so strangely and remains so quiet every time. As she     said, people around them are interested in hearing their story because of their inner suspense not sympathy or love.

There is so much out there for blind and visually impaired people, but unfortunately, useful resources and information that they often need is not at one place and we have to do a lot of research before we can get advantage of these resources. So, we have tried to put some useful websites together that can hopefully help others like myself.

Blind help project is an independent non-profit resource for blind and visually impaired community. It consist of a volunteer team of students working under the slogan of "envisioning brighter tomorrow through the lens of technology" Almost all BHP team members are partially or totally blind, So according to them, they can better understand the problems and challenges hindering the progress and independent living of people with limited or no vision across the world.

They are running a website to provide hundreds of articles, games, quick podcasts, softwares, tutorials and some other resources for Android, IOS, Lynix, Mac OS and Windows from 2014.

Cool blind tech founded by Nelson Régo in 2012 and incorporated in 2015 as a non-profit organization. Like Blind help project, Cool blind tech is also produced by a team of blind and low vision experts who worked hard to provide necessary information and resources free of cost.

Cool blind tech as they said, "YOUR SOURCE FOR THE BEST ASSISTIVE TECH NEWS, REVIEWS AND INTERVIEWS FROM TOP BLIND AND LOW VISION EXPERTS" working to provide latest news and podcasts related to assistive technology: how to make main stream devices such as IPad, IPhone, Android and tablets accessible for blind and visually impaired and also how to use windows computers or Mac with screen reading softwares.

Founded in 1920 by William Hadley, an educator who lost his eyesight later in life, Hadley provides distance learning opportunities for anyone with visual impairment, their families and professionals working with them free of charge. Hadley serves nearly 150,000 individuals each year, reaching 50 states of America and 100 countries of the world.

Hadley is also the largest educator of Braille worldwide and provides different courses/trainings high school diploma and family education programs covering multiple topics from daily living tasks to professional training, different hobbies to recreational activities, languages to history of the world etc.

It offers reading material in a variety of accessible formats such as Braille, large print, audio and online through their website. After completing a course, students receive credit hours and a certificate of completion. Hadley's instructors and professionals also arrange different seminars, webinars and audio/video tutorials on various topics.

RoboBraille is an e-mail and web-based service available to vision and reading impaired people to automatically transform important documents to accessible formats free of charge. It was originally created by Synscenter Refsnæs (the National Centre for Visually Impaired Children and Youth in Denmark) and Sensus ApS. Today, the service is developed and operated by Sensus and RoboBraille Outreach, a non-profit association.

Since its launch in 2004, RoboBraille offers four categories of services:

Braille services: transcription of different documents to contracted and non-contracted Brail in various languages.

Audio services: it converts different audio/video formats to plane mp3 and daisy talking books in multiple languages.

E-book services: Documents can be converted in to both EPUB and Mobi Pocket (Amazon Kindle) e-book formats. Moreover, EPUB can be converted into Mobi Pocket and vice versa.

Accessibility services: Inaccessible documents such as image files in GIF, TIFF, JPG, PNG, BMP, PCX, DCX, J2K, JP2, JPX, DJV, image-only PDF and all other types of PDF documents can be converted to more accessible formats including tagged PDF, DOC, DOCX, Word XML, XLS, XLSX, CSV, TXT, RTF and HTML. The service furthermore supports conversion of Microsoft Office documents into tagged PDF and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations into RTF files and web-projects.

CareerConnect is an employment information resource developed by the American Foundation for the Blind for job seekers who are blind or visually impaired. CareerConnect provides employment information, career exploration tools, and job seeking guidance for individuals with vision loss and the professionals who work with them.
