how blind people can read Urdu with JAWS

Now visually impaired and blind can read and right Urdu independently with JAWS by using ESpeak. First you need to install following softwares:

1.     JAWS 15.

Note: previous versions of JAWS can not read Urdu effectively.

2.     ESpeak and set Urdu after default US-English language during installation.

Making Urdu profile

1.     Go to the JAWS context menu by pressing Insert+J.

2.      Expand options sub-menu by pressing right arrow/o.

3.     Press V twice to go to the voice adjustment dialogue.
Your focus will be on JAWS’ default profile.

4.     Press down arrow to Select Sapi 5.

5.     Press tab to move to the next combo box and choose your required language (Urdu)

6.     Set other options by pressing tab such as voice, rate, pitch etc.

7.     Press Alt+S to save the profile, type Urdu and press enter again.
Note: default language dialogue will appear, press enter on no button.

Reading Urdu and changing voice profile

1.     Press Insert+CTRL+S to open select a voice profile dialogue.

2.     Press U to choose Urdu profile and hit enter on it.

3.     Click here to try Urdu with JAWS.
